What Motion+ ships

Motion+ is the paid tier of Motion (formerly Framer Motion), the React animation library by Matt Perry. It bundles 510+ examples, 110+ tutorials, Motion UI (animated React sections on shadcn tokens, launched July 2026), Motion Studio and an AI Kit with an MCP server, plus a private Discord and GitHub.

What Motion+ does well

  • Made by the author of the library it builds on, so examples track the API
  • One payment per developer, no subscription for solo buyers
  • Motion UI sections install through the shadcn CLI or the Motion+ MCP
  • A performance grade on each Motion UI section
  • Tutorials alongside the code, for learning the library properly

Where Motion+ stops short

  • Motion UI sections are React only, no Vue or plain HTML versions
  • Much of the value is examples and tutorials you adapt, not finished sections
  • Not one-time for teams: two or more developers pay yearly per seat
  • Tied to Motion, so it doesn't help a GSAP codebase
Prices and contents checked on motion.dev/plus and motion.dev/magazine in October 2026.

When Annnimate is the better pick

Annnimate fits when you need the motion done, not a lesson in how to build it. The catalog is finished client-site pieces, menus, scroll sections, sliders and Kits, each on GSAP and shipped as React, Vue and plain HTML/CSS/JS from one source, so it works in Next.js, Nuxt, Webflow or a static build. Teams of two or more pay per seat on both products; Annnimate's per-seat price drops as the team grows, from €29 a month billed quarterly for one.

When Motion+ is the better pick

Motion+ is the better pick if you work alone in React, Motion is already your library, and you'd rather pay once and learn it in depth through its examples and tutorials.
