Project Wheel
Your project titles sit on the edge of a big wheel that turns as you scroll. The title that reaches the middle lights up and swaps the photo beside it, so the list itself is how visitors move through your work.

How it's built.
The first version stopped on every title and then jumped to the next one, so it felt like it was clicking from title to title instead of turning. The snapping was never the problem, the spacing was. Each title took so much scrolling that the wheel landed, sat still for most of it, then lurched a whole title from rest. So now every title gets a short stretch of scroll and the titles sit about a line apart. The wheel always heads for the nearest title, and the next one comes up before it has finished landing, so it keeps turning while you scroll and is already resting on a title when you stop.
The titles fade and get a little smaller the further they sit from the middle, and the list has real ends, so the first project opens the section and the last one closes it. You can grab the wheel with the mouse and throw it and it still lands on a whole title. Put it on either side, pick a fade or a wipe for the photo, and repeat the list as many times as you want the scroll to last.
