Image Glitch
Put a full-cover image behind old CRT glass. At rest it just sits there looking like a television set: curved barrel distortion, a scanline raster, phosphor vignette, faint chroma fringe. Hover and the signal starts fighting itself. It breaks into static, almost recovers, then static wins. Sync tears, analog snow, vertical hold slips, color bleed. Let go and it locks back in clean. Switch to digital mode with data-anm-tv="false" for a flat clean image that tears into coarse block-slice displacement and quantized corruption on hover instead. Hold trigger mode also available.

How it's built.
The first version ramped the glitch in with one smooth curve and it read like a light switch: hover, glitched, done. Making the ramp longer changed nothing, because a glitch is either happening or it isn't. The fix came from watching how an old TV actually loses reception. It doesn't fade, it fights. So the signal breaks up, almost pulls the picture back clean, then the static wins. That little recovery in the middle is what makes it read as a struggle instead of a switch.
There's one hard rule inside it: the whole picture has a cap on how fast it's allowed to flash, so it stays comfortable to watch. But the tears and slips underneath move much faster than that, which is what keeps it feeling alive instead of choppy.
Past that it's yours. Point it at any image, bend the glass, set the scanlines, the colour bleed, how tall the tear blocks are and how long the fight lasts. You can flip the TV look off for a flat clean image that breaks into a blocky digital glitch instead, or switch it to press-and-hold so it only glitches while it's held.
